  • by

In an inspiring move towards sustainability, Meadow Landscape is taking significant steps to embrace a more eco-friendly approach in its operations. This commitment to environmental stewardship is highlighted by the transition to the all-electric Ford Transit, showcasing a forward-thinking mindset in an industry traditionally reliant on fossil fuels.

The move to electric vehicles like the E-Transit is just the beginning for Meadow Landscape. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to integrate sustainable practices across all areas of operation. From utilising battery-powered machinery to adopting eco-friendly materials, Meadow Landscape is dedicated to not only beautifying outdoor spaces but also preserving the natural environment for future generations.

As Meadow Landscape continues on this green journey, it sets a commendable example for the industry and encourages others to consider the long-term impact of their business practices on the planet. The transition to the Ford E-Transit is a testament to the company’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the well-being of the communities it serves. This exciting development marks a new chapter for Meadow Landscape, one that promises a greener, more sustainable future. It’s a step forward that resonates with the growing demand for environmentally conscious services, offering hope and inspiration for a cleaner, greener world. By embracing the electric vehicle, Meadow Landscape is not just making a change in its fleet; it’s taking a bold step towards a sustainable future, setting a benchmark for eco-friendly practices in the landscaping industry.

Battery Powered Equipment – our investment in the future

  • by

Mike Dobbins of Meadow Landscapes comments on their investment in battery powered grounds maintenance equipment.

“Keeping our operatives safe at work is priority for our grounds maintenance company and reducing the risk of HAVS is a particular focus for us. There is much evidence which states that battery powered equipment causes less vibration for the operator compared to traditional, petrol driven equivalents. In addition, the battery operated equipment offers good protection against other health risks such as daily fume inhalation.

Another benefit to using battery-operated tools is the environmental impact. They are more sustainable; they have a very low carbon, volatile organic compound and dangerous fine partial matter output making for a much greener pollution footprint. There is no reliance on fossil fuel so there are no carbon emissions, and are not as noisy (a particular benefit when working in residential areas).
